Information we collect

When you create an account, Vantelyx Labs stores your name, email address, research-use acknowledgement, account creation date and authentication records. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Enquiry forms store the information you choose to submit. Anti-abuse controls may process limited network metadata without retaining a raw IP address in the account record.

Why it is used

Information is used to operate account access, answer enquiries, secure the website, maintain legitimate research communications and notify the Vantelyx Labs administrator when a new account is created.

Account providers and cookies

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides a verified Google account identifier, name and email address after you authenticate. Vantelyx Labs uses an essential secure session cookie to keep you signed in. The site does not use that cookie for advertising.

Hosting, database and email services

The production website is designed to run on Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1. Transactional account and enquiry notifications are sent through the configured email delivery provider. These services process only the information needed to operate the relevant feature.

Retention

Account and enquiry records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose they were collected, to operate and secure the service, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations. Login sessions expire automatically. Records that are no longer required should be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
